Wrote: It's not like The Sims 2 isn't avaliable for Macs. IT IS, as well as SIX expansion packs. It's a really generous move from EA to make the entire collection avaliable for players on Windows, but Mac users still have to pay full retail price for the base game and all 6 Mac EPs, whilst windows users get a 100% discount.

Even if you don't release the full Ultimate Collection for Macs (as many of them aren't ported), Please be fair and release all TS2 Mac games, as you did for Windows. Joe (and Mac users worldwide) As far as I am aware, this is due to the Mac version having been developed by a third-party developer, which has possibly retained the rights over the Mac ports. I've been told by gaming programmers that it's REALLY hard to transfer old windows games to mac compatible because of the fact that mac computers are so much different programming than a PC. But I really hope they make some kind of transition at some point because the Sims 2 Collection is a huge hit and would be so much fun to play! I've also heard mac users may not be able to play the sims 4 until after it's release for the PC. Such a bummer, but hopefully like the sims 3, it comes out for both PC and mac at one time.

I'd hate to have to spend 80 dollars to have a game I can't play since I preordered that and the special content as well as the hardcover sims 4 book. So I really hope EA comes up with something for us mac users quickly! @Neufena Yes, Aspyr is the third party that have ported half of the Expansions over to the Mac. Personally, I don't think we'll see the Ultimate Collection on the Mac for these reasons: (all my own opinion, based on what we know) 1. EA hasn't ported any The Sims 2 games over to the Mac. All existing ports have been done by Aspyr. They probably don't own the rights to release it. Aspyr have only ported 9/18 expansion packs.

The UC on Windows has all 18. They wouldn't release the existing ports as they wouldn't work on modern Macs.

(You need a 3yr old OS to run them) 4. For EA to port the UC to modern Macs themselves is alot of work, to then release it for free probably wouldn't make much business sense. It's the end of the games life anyway, as they're dropping support at end of the month. I don't buy this.bleep.

BAND-AID.bleep. We just want fainess to us MAC. EA you hate MAC USERS PERIOD. I'M A MAC USER. THEY ONLY WAY YOU GET A HALF A PENNY FROM THIS ONCE LOYAL SIMS Customer. We got snub in SIMS 3 cause we MAC users didn't get the World Tool.
